Sales Representative – Wine & Spirits

About the role

Reporting to the Alberta Sales Manager, the Sales Representative will grow sales and market share of the Charton Hobbs portfolio across Edmonton and surrounding areas. The role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with retail stores and restaurants to drive brand presence.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales of the Charton Hobbs wine and spirits portfolio and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Increase territory distribution, focusing on core brands and securing fridge and shelf placements in top‑selling stores.
• Organise trade days, supplier visits and pitch quarterly programming with retail chain managers.
• Maintain and develop relationships with restaurant accounts, seeking new feature and BTG pour opportunities.
• Record daily activities and manage account data using the CHG XRM system.
• Manage budgets, expenses and participate in trade shows, supplier dinners and industry events.

Required profile

• Passion for wine and spirits with WSET Level 2 (or at least Level 1) certification and 2+ years of outside sales experience in the beverage alcohol sector.
• College or university degree in business, sales or marketing preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present to diverse audiences.
• Physically able to lift 40 + pounds and handle heavy POS material.
• Valid Alberta driver’s licence, automobile insurance meeting company requirements, and a valid passport.
