Engagement Manager – Canada

About the role

The Engagement Manager will drive EGI’s growth in the Canadian power‑system market, leading market development, senior client engagement and opportunity delivery across the country’s provincially structured electricity sector. You will build trusted relationships with utilities, regulators, Indigenous groups and investors while positioning EGI’s expertise in grid modernization, HVDC, offshore wind and renewable integration.

Key responsibilities

• Cultivate lasting relationships with senior executives, regulators, utilities, Indigenous organizations and investors across Canada.
• Translate client priorities into business cases that align with EGI’s capabilities and international benchmarks.
• Identify and qualify market opportunities in grid modernization, interprovincial interties, HVDC, offshore wind connections and renewable integration.
• Lead contract negotiations and manage the full deal lifecycle from engagement to closure.
• Build and coordinate a network of Canadian engineering firms, academic partners and Indigenous stakeholders to strengthen project delivery.

Required profile

• Master’s degree and at least 10 years of experience in the energy sector, infrastructure or management consulting.
• Proven ability to engage senior executives and convert strategic opportunities into consulting assignments.
• Strong knowledge of the Canadian electricity sector and an established professional network within the industry.
• Excellent relationship‑building and influencing skills with the capacity to mobilise multidisciplinary teams.
