Rock Tools Technician – Entry Level (Fly‑In Fly‑Out)

About the role

The Rock Tools Technician is an entry‑level position supporting Sandvik Mining’s rock‑tools contracts. You will guide customers on proper tool usage, manage inventory, and ensure tools are delivered and maintained safely on a fly‑in‑fly‑out schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Manage rock‑tools inventory, tracking issues, discards and losses.
• Repair and maintain rock tools to defined specifications.
• Deliver rock‑tools products to customers and perform daily/weekly stock counts.
• Utilise the Rock Tools Management System to monitor performance and generate reports.
• Troubleshoot tool issues and provide technical recommendations to supervisors and sales representatives.
• Report improper usage, complete time and failure reports, and maintain accurate records.
• Follow environmental, health and safety procedures, conduct risk assessments and maintain a clean work area.

Required profile

• Completion of secondary school (high school).
• Interest in developing a career in the mining industry.
• Detail‑oriented with good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work as part of an integrated team on a fly‑in‑fly‑out schedule.

Required skills

• Experience with the Rock Tools Management System (or willingness to learn).
