Électromécanicien – Quart de soir, Montréal

About the role

Our client, a leading Canadian producer of expanded polystyrene, is expanding rapidly and seeks an experienced electromechanician for the evening shift at its Montreal plant. The role is permanent, full‑time, and works from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday‑Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse equipment performance issues and recommend improvements to boost productivity and reliability.
• Apply health, safety and environmental standards throughout the maintenance department.
• Maintain, inspect, adjust and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems and equipment.
• Participate in plant projects and the rotating on‑call schedule.
• Perform any other related tasks as required.

Required profile

• DEP (diploma) in electromechanics.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as an electromechanician.
• Permanent Canadian resident (no temporary foreign worker slots available).
• Fully available for the evening shift (15:00‑23:30).
• Team‑oriented, autonomous, detail‑focused and positive attitude.

Required skills

• Electromechanical maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic equipment.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Basic computer skills for using a computerized maintenance management system.
• Welding and machining (considered an asset).
• Possession of a Class C driver’s licence (coaching available) and a class 4 fixed‑machine mechanic licence (asset).
