Research Administrator – Community Systems Program

About the role

The Research Administrator supports the Principal Investigators of the Community Systems Research program at UBC's Human Early Learning Partnership. The role coordinates research activities, manages data, oversees budgets and timelines, and facilitates knowledge transfer across multiple projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain research timelines, budgets, GANTT charts, and project documentation.
• Supervise research assistants, graduate students, interns and oversee grant applications, contracts, and ethics submissions.
• Design data collection protocols, manage data tracking and retention systems, and ensure data quality.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis using tools such as NVIVO, Atlas TI, and SPSS.
• Prepare progress reports, executive summaries, and public-facing documents for knowledge transfer.
• Monitor budgets, deliverables, and compliance with grant and partnership agreements.

Required profile

• Strong initiative and attention to detail to coordinate multiple research components.
• Ability to mentor and train research assistants and community partners in methods and ethics.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and occasional travel as needed.
