Registered Nurse – Diagnostic Imaging

About the role

The Diagnostic Imaging unit at Michael Garron Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive nursing care in line with provincial standards and hospital policies. The role involves rapid assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient needs while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide full‑scope nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans according to Ontario nursing standards.
• Maintain aseptic and isolation techniques, including extensive sterile practice.
• Participate actively in the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective imaging services.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and hospital safety policies.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current BCLS certification; Cardiology 1 course required, Cardiology 2 preferred.
• Minimum two years of critical‑care nursing experience (five years preferred).
• Diagnostic imaging nursing experience and coursework in imaging procedures preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, maintain excellent attendance and uphold professional development.
