Project Surveyor

About the role

Wood Rodgers is seeking a Project Surveyor to join its Survey Department. The role involves a mix of field coordination, technical drafting, and document preparation for a variety of public and private land‑survey projects.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule survey projects and monitor their progress.
• Direct survey crews on required field work.
• Prepare and review detailed drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Interpret field notes, perform survey computations, and generate legal descriptions.
• Produce ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Record of Surveys, Parcel Maps, Final Maps, and related documents.
• Compile land‑title information from title reports and records research.
• Optionally generate topographic surveys and process GPS data with Trimble Business Center.

Required profile

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience, especially in land‑development projects.
• Land Surveyor‑in‑Training (LSIT) certification required; Professional Licensed Surveyor (PLS) preferred.
• Experience with ESRI GIS and strong knowledge of boundary and legal principles.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prepare proposals, scopes, and budgets.
