Project Manager - Mechanical ICI Construction

About the role

Black & McDonald’s Mechanical ICI team is growing! You are an independent, enthusiastic, and driven professional searching for an opportunity to build a solid foundation for your career. The Project Manager is located on‑site and reports directly to the Division Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the assigned project in cost, schedule, quality, safety and contract performance.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards per company policy and contract specifications.
• Plan, prepare, monitor and manage construction schedule and milestones.
• Ensure work complies with HSE regulations, company policies and contract requirements.
• Monitor and report progress, labour productivity, budget, cost and forecast.
• Prepare and submit project estimates and negotiate scope changes.
• Review contracts, work and WIP for risk and correct deficiencies.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Project Management, Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2‑5+ years of project management experience in Mechanical ICI construction.
• Experience on transit projects such as TTC or Metrolinx is an asset.

Required skills

• Construction scheduling, planning and execution.
• Project structural design interpretation.
• Procore.
• MS Office (Word, Excel, Project).
