Procurement Specialist

About the role

Worley Canada Construction is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to manage the end‑to‑end procurement process for complex industrial projects. The role supports the MOD YARD team in Edmonton, ensuring timely, cost‑effective acquisition of materials and services.

Key responsibilities

• Review material requisitions from project teams and prepare RFQ/RFP packages.
• Source, evaluate, and recommend suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery criteria.
• Issue accurate purchase orders and maintain up‑to‑date PO records.
• Coordinate with suppliers to expedite orders and communicate any delays.
• Close out POs after contractual and procedural requirements are met.
• Collaborate with project management, construction, quality control, accounts payable, and client representatives.
• Prepare and distribute procurement reports to internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Strong computer proficiency, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proven ability to perform under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience in industrial construction is preferred.
• Diploma, degree, or certification in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
