Mining Engineer – Mid-Range Team

About the role
The Mining Engineer will report to the Senior Engineering Supervisor and join the Mid-Range team at Fording River Operations. The role supports the Engineering and Projects departments by planning, stewarding, and integrating technical projects into the active mine operation.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies.
- Design, plan, and provide execution support for mine pre‑development using Swift 4, while engaging key stakeholders.
- Coordinate major mine infrastructure projects such as powerlines and clean‑water diversions.
- Support combustion waste management and other critical scopes within the mine.
Required profile
- Self‑motivated individual who thrives in a team environment.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and proven problem‑solving ability.
- Ability to organise competing priorities and make effective decisions.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Swift 4 mine planning software.
