About the role
Graders in the Mechanical Engineering department assist faculty by evaluating student work for various courses during the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves marking assignments and exams following the instructor’s guidelines and requires a solid understanding of the course material. Positions are open exclusively to McGill students and require on‑site presence in Montreal.
Key responsibilities
- Mark assignments and exams according to the instructor’s grading rubric.
- Provide timely feedback to students while maintaining confidentiality of their work.
- Support course staff by recording grading hours accurately.
- Assist with any additional marking‑related tasks as directed by the instructor.
Required profile
- Must be a current McGill University student.
- Must have a residential address in the province of Quebec.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada.
- Must be available to work during the course dates (August 31 – December 18, 2026).
- Background knowledge of the specific Mechanical Engineering subject matter is an asset.
