Manager, Tenant Projects (2-Year Contract)

About the role

The Manager, Tenant Projects will lead the end‑to‑end delivery of tenant construction projects within a retail environment. Reporting to senior leadership, you will oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring each initiative is completed on schedule, within budget, and to Cadillac Fairview’s quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed scopes of work and tender documents for new projects.
• Coordinate internal departments, external consultants, and contractors to keep projects on track.
• Monitor construction progress, conduct inspections, and enforce compliance with CF standards and regulatory requirements.
• Review consultants’ reports, invoices, and project documentation; approve progress payments.
• Collect and analyse budget data for renovations, demolitions, and restorations to support leasing and accounting functions.
• Participate in annual budget and 10‑year capital planning processes.
• Prepare deficiency reports and follow up with designers, engineers, and contractors to resolve issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing construction projects in a retail or commercial setting.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, invoicing, and capital planning.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholder groups, including government agencies.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
