Manager, Equipment and Operations

About the role

The Manager, Equipment and Operations leads the safe and efficient running of manufacturing sites, driving equipment performance, process improvements and team development. Reporting to senior leadership, this role bridges operations, engineering and strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with site managers to ensure safe, reliable daily operations.
• Lead infrastructure and process projects, including layout redesigns, machine upgrades and small‑scale capital projects from concept to commissioning.
• Evaluate and recommend new equipment and technology to increase productivity and reduce downtime.
• Analyze production data to identify waste, inefficiencies or safety risks and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering to develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Use data and analytics to guide investment decisions and operational improvements.
• Lead a team of operators, technicians and coordinators, setting clear goals, coaching and fostering a culture of problem‑solving and innovation.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (MBA or business training is a plus).
• 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial operations or plant engineering.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, production lines and heavy equipment.
• Hands‑on experience with process design, automation or capital projects.
• Analytical mindset with solid business sense and the ability to recommend capital investments.
• Leadership style that is assertive, collaborative and results‑oriented.
