About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will join a multidisciplinary home‑care team in Wainwright, Alberta, delivering family‑focused nursing care in private homes, community housing, and supportive living facilities. This full‑time position supports diverse clients across the town and surrounding rural area.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, high‑quality patient and family‑centred care in accordance with legislation, standards of practice, policies and procedures.
• Utilise nursing processes, critical thinking, problem‑solving and decision‑making to assess and meet client needs.
• Deliver hands‑on care in private residences, group housing, non‑designated lodges/manors and supportive living facilities.
• Collaborate with an interprofessional health‑care team to coordinate and evaluate care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to regulatory and organizational guidelines.

Required profile

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification and active registration.
• Independent, self‑driven professional comfortable working in a rural/home‑care environment.
• Valid driver’s licence and personal vehicle for travel to client locations.
• Ability to work days and weekends on a rotating schedule.
