Junior Construction Coordinator – Mine Closure Projects

About the role

Join WSP’s Applied Solutions team in Yellowknife to support field execution on mine closure and environmental remediation projects. This junior position offers hands‑on experience in construction coordination within remote, extreme‑climate environments, operating on a 2‑weeks‑on/2‑weeks‑off rotational schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Support and coordinate daily construction and field activities on mine closure and environmental projects.
• Monitor contractor work to ensure compliance with safety, scope, and schedule requirements.
• Track field progress, maintain documentation, and contribute to project reporting.
• Promote a strong culture of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Identify and communicate field issues, risks, and improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in construction coordination, supervision, or field operations.
• Diploma or degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (civil, environmental, or related).
• Ability to work in remote locations under extreme weather conditions.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
