Systems Integration Manager – Rail & Transit

About the role

Ready to take your engineering and management experience to the next level on a high‑impact rail systems construction project in Vancouver. Parsons is hiring a Systems Integration Manager to lead the Systems Engineering team for the Broadway Subway Extension to the Millennium Line, part of the fully automated SkyTrain network.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain appropriate staffing levels, including temporary personnel, and approve staff forecasts.
• Manage Systems Engineering processes across relevant disciplines and coordinate with System Safety and RAM teams.
• Supervise, guide, and mentor the Systems Engineering staff throughout the program.
• Monitor quality and progress of engineering activities to ensure performance and process requirements are met.
• Collaborate with other Engineering Managers (System Safety, System Design, civil, etc.) to resolve staffing, quality, schedule, and delivery issues.
• Support pre‑contract and business development efforts as a technical consultant.
• Ensure adherence to overhead budgets authorized for the Systems Engineering discipline.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or related field) with 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Supervisory/managerial experience on complex systems involving significant software components.
• Professional Engineer registration (or ability to obtain registration) in British Columbia.
• Strong written, oral, and presentation skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Thorough knowledge of industry standards such as ISO/IEC/IEEE‑15288 and EN‑50126 RAM and Safety for railways.
• INCOSE CSEP certification is an asset.
