Investigator – Corporate Security (Investigation Support)

About the role

The Investigator will join Scotiabank’s Investigation Support Services team, providing expert analysis and response to mid‑ to high‑complexity security incidents for Scotiabank and Tangerine. The role focuses on risk assessment, trend identification, and collaboration with internal and external partners to protect the bank’s assets and reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and act on complex security requests, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies.
• Assess risk, develop mitigation initiatives, and document findings in case files following Standard Operating Procedures.
• Identify incident trends, communicate insights to stakeholders, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain a network of contacts across the bank, financial industry, and law‑enforcement agencies to facilitate rapid resolution of loss events.
• Support business lines in loss recovery and contribute to continuous improvement of security processes.
• Stay current on financial‑crime developments, fraud trends, and industry best practices.
