Intermediate Interior Designer (Hospitality)

About the role

The role is for an Intermediate Interior Designer within CHIL, a boutique studio that delivers hospitality, food & beverage and multi‑family residential projects. Based in Toronto, you will support the design of high‑end hotel and resort interiors, working closely with senior designers and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Create compelling presentations using the Adobe Creative Suite to communicate design concepts.
• Ensure all deliverables meet CHIL’s design‑excellence standards.
• Accompany senior colleagues to client meetings and act as an effective presenter.
• Coordinate with local suppliers, consultants, client representatives and internal team members to achieve project milestones.
• Develop space‑planning layouts that satisfy program requirements, functional needs and local building codes.
• Assist in producing 2‑D drawings and 3‑D visualisations, delivering high‑quality renderings.
• Research, recommend and present finishes, furnishings and material palettes that align with aesthetic, environmental and budgetary goals.
• Prepare project documentation and support internal teams across various industry clients.

Required profile

• Intermediate level experience in interior design, preferably within hospitality.
• Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
