Brand Designer – Marketing

About the role

Relay is a digital banking platform helping business owners gain clarity and control over their finances. We are looking for a mid‑level Brand Designer to join the Marketing Design team and bring our brand to life across campaigns and customer touchpoints.

Key responsibilities

• Own brand design projects from brief to delivery across paid media, web, lifecycle, social, campaigns, events, and sales enablement.
• Translate marketing strategy, customer insight, and business context into visual concepts and stories.
• Apply and evolve Relay’s visual identity while ensuring consistency.
• Manage small‑to‑medium projects, clarify scope, align stakeholders, maintain timelines, and communicate blockers.
• Collaborate with copy, growth, product marketing, social, and other partners to bring work to market.
• Present designs and explain rationale, synthesize feedback, and iterate.
• Build and maintain templates, libraries, and documentation to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in brand, visual, graphic, or marketing design (in‑house or agency).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design fundamentals, concepting, and execution across multiple channels.
• Excellent eye for typography, layout, colour, composition, and brand consistency.
• Ability to explain individual contributions and design decisions clearly.
• Proven ability to manage projects independently, balance workstreams, and communicate scope and risks.
• Collaborative mindset, active in brainstorms and critiques, and responsive to feedback.
