Human Resources & Labour Relations Generalist

About the role

The Human Resources & Labour Relations Generalist will support both HR and labour‑relations functions for our Oshawa site, reporting to the HR/LR Manager. This full‑time position involves managing investigations, grievance processes, ADP payroll administration, and a variety of employee‑relations projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct workplace investigations, gather evidence, and prepare confidential reports.
• Prepare disciplinary documentation, grievance responses, employment letters, and other HR/LR paperwork.
• Administer labour‑relations processes such as grievance tracking, seniority list maintenance, and CBA interpretation.
• Support managers with policy interpretation, performance management, conflict resolution, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate investigations, grievance meetings, and labour‑management meetings, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Maintain employee, labour‑relations, attendance, and ADP records in compliance with policies, collective agreements, and legislation.
• Audit and update employee files and departmental trackers for accuracy.
• Provide administrative support for compliance‑related initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience handling employee investigations and grievance processes.
• Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and labour‑relations practices.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to confidentiality and procedural fairness.
• Ability to interpret HR policies and employment legislation.
