Manager, Nursing Sourcing and Intake

About the role

The Manager, Nursing Sourcing and Intake reports to the Executive Director, Nursing, Allied and Associated Programs and leads Health Match BC’s nursing recruitment activities, partnering with provincial health authorities and other stakeholders to attract and retain nursing talent across British Columbia.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee nursing recruitment activities including sourcing, candidate engagement, intake, triage and reporting.
• Collaborate with Nursing Immigration and Employment Services and Nursing Navigation and Bursary managers to ensure a high‑quality candidate experience and manage the nursing pipeline.
• Partner with Health Authority Recruitment Managers to translate vacancy data into strategic sourcing plans.
• Develop and execute the annual sourcing plan and work with the marketing team on sourcing campaigns.
• Lead and motivate a team of Health Match BC staff to achieve departmental goals.
• Manage complex projects, set timelines, capacity plans and resolve issues without direct supervision.
• Build advisory relationships with health authorities, regulatory bodies, educational institutions, professional associations, unions and federal agencies.
• Participate on provincial committees and working groups related to nursing recruitment and retention.

Required profile

• University degree in human resources, business administration, life sciences or a related field.
• Minimum seven years recent experience in health‑care recruitment, process improvement and project management.
• At least two years recent experience in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated customer‑service, strategic consulting, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, present formally and analyse data.
