Human Resources Generalist (Maternity Leave Contract)

About the role

Strike is seeking an organized HR Generalist to cover a maternity leave on a fixed‑term basis. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will ensure accurate HRIS data, manage employee records, and support a range of HR programs across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Process and maintain HRIS/CMIC employee transactions and records.
• Coordinate the full employee lifecycle: hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, and terminations.
• Prepare employment letters, new‑hire documentation, and personnel files.
• Support compensation administration, surveys, and reporting.
• Manage hiring requests, vacation tracking, incentive programs, and disability administration.
• Maintain benefits administration and liaise with benefit providers.
• Build reports, organizational charts, and update HR SharePoint content.
• Assist with management development initiatives and other HR programs.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of HR experience in a similar role.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with all organizational levels.

Required skills

• Experience with HRIS systems.
• Knowledge of CMIC (considered an asset).
• Proficiency with SharePoint for HR content management.
