Human Resources Generalist

About the role

The Human Resources Generalist will support a broad range of HR programs and processes, helping to create a positive, compliant, and engaged workplace. This role provides guidance on policies, assists with recruitment, employee relations, benefits, and maintains accurate HR data.

Key responsibilities

• Advise managers and employees on HR policies, compensation, benefits, and legislative requirements.
• Support recruitment activities including resume review, interview scheduling, reference checks, offer letters, and onboarding.
• Respond to employee inquiries, assist with workplace concerns, and provide guidance to supervisors.
• Assist with claims management, leave administration, WSIB activities, disability management, and return‑to‑work programs.
• Support performance management processes such as corrective counselling, investigations, terminations, and related documentation.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR information systems, ensuring compliance and reporting requirements are met.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in business administration, industrial relations, human resources, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a Human Resources role.
• Ability to interpret legislative documents related to human rights, labour standards, and employment requirements.
• Strong organizational, planning, time‑management, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, meet changing deadlines, and work overtime when required.
• High level of confidentiality, discretion, integrity, and sound judgment.
