Human Resources Generalist

About the role

The Human Resources Generalist will support a wide range of HR programs and processes, helping managers and employees navigate policies, benefits, recruitment, and employee relations. This role is essential for fostering a compliant, engaged, and positive workplace environment.

Key responsibilities

• Advise managers and employees on HR policies, compensation, benefits, and legislative requirements.
• Support recruitment activities: resume review, interview scheduling, reference checks, offer letters, and onboarding.
• Handle employee relations inquiries, workplace concerns, and provide guidance to supervisors.
• Manage claims, leave administration, WSIB activities, disability management, and return‑to‑work programs.
• Assist performance‑management processes, including corrective counseling, investigations, terminations, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate employee records in HR information systems and ensure reporting and compliance.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in business administration, industrial relations, human resources, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a Human Resources role.
• Ability to interpret legislative documents related to human rights, labour standards, and employment requirements.
• Strong organizational, planning, time‑management, communication, and teamwork skills.
• High level of confidentiality, discretion, integrity, and sound judgment.
