Human Resources Generalist

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Human Resources Generalist to partner with managers and employees across Bizerba Canada Inc. and Bizerba Tekno Label. The role blends strategic HR partnership with day‑to‑day operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives while complying with Canadian employment legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide HR guidance on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation and workplace matters.
• Drive the full employee lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding to off‑boarding—ensuring a positive experience.
• Coordinate payroll functions, including processing changes, time reporting, benefits, RRSPs and documentation.
• Maintain confidential employee records, HRIS data and employment contracts.
• Support full‑cycle recruitment: job postings, interviews, offers and onboarding.
• Assist with employee engagement, recognition programs, training coordination and investigations.
• Administer benefits programs and act as primary point of contact for employee inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with Canadian employment standards, company policies and HR best practices.
• Contribute to HR reporting, audits, policy updates and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Support OH&S initiatives and WSIB/WCB claims administration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–6 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian employment law and HR compliance.
• Experience with payroll administration, recruitment and employee relations.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRIS platforms.
