Human Resources Generalist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to lead disability management and employee accommodation programs during a key transitional period. The role blends employee support, analytical problem‑solving, and HR coordination in a collaborative, people‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage short‑term disability (STD), long‑term disability (LTD), and non‑occupational return‑to‑work and accommodation cases.
• Assess accommodation requests and develop individualized return‑to‑work plans.
• Collaborate with employees, managers, and third‑party providers to coordinate disability management processes.
• Support learning and development administration through LMS coordination, training assignments, and event logistics.
• Maintain accurate HR documentation, reporting, and case tracking for data‑driven decision making.
• Contribute to evolving HR initiatives and projects as organizational priorities change.

Required profile

• 3+ years progressive HR experience with a focus on disability management and return‑to‑work planning.
• Proven experience handling complex STD, LTD, and medical accommodation cases.
• Knowledge of accommodation practices, employee wellness support, and disability management processes.
• Experience supporting HR programs or projects from initiation through completion.
• Post‑secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Valid driver’s license.
