Human Resources Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking an organized and proactive Human Resources Coordinator to support a luxury fashion retailer in Montreal. The position blends daily HR administration with recruitment, employee support, and compliance duties.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate full recruitment cycles: post jobs, screen candidates, schedule interviews, and assist with onboarding.
• Maintain accurate employee files, HR records, and confidential documentation.
• Prepare employment letters, contracts, and other HR‑related documents.
• Serve as the primary contact for employee questions on policies, benefits, and procedures.
• Assist with benefits administration, vacation tracking, leave management, and employee updates.
• Update and ensure data accuracy in the HRIS.
• Support performance review cycles, probation follow‑ups, and development initiatives.
• Help develop, implement, and communicate HR policies and procedures.
• Provide discreet support for employee‑relations matters.
• Coordinate training sessions and employee‑engagement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with CNESST regulations and Quebec labour standards, and support Ontario/U.S. employment matters when needed.
• Maintain organized records for audits and compliance reviews.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Administrator, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of CNESST and Quebec labour standards (required).
• Familiarity with Ontario employment legislation (asset) and exposure to U.S. employment practices (asset).
• Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
• Fully bilingual in French and English.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information.
• Comfortable thriving in a fast‑paced, collaborative retail or fashion environment.

Required skills

• HRIS (experience with any HR information system).
