About the role

OPTrust is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to provide operational support to the People Team, delivering HR programs, processes and services across the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain trusted cross‑functional relationships through accurate support and timely follow‑up.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date employee records in Workday, including hires, job changes, compensation updates and terminations.
  • Coordinate and process employee lifecycle transactions, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Support payroll inputs and collaborate with Finance/payroll providers for accurate processing.
  • Draft HR correspondence and prepare/distribute documents, presentations and other materials.
  • Participate in bi‑weekly payroll validation meetings and conduct process audits.
  • Maintain HR documentation, templates and employee files per company policies and legislation.
  • Manage full onboarding and off‑boarding processes.
  • Assist with recruitment, leaves management, HR systems, reporting and analytics, and special projects.

Required profile

  • Hands‑on involvement in various HR functions including recruitment, employee lifecycle, leaves management, HR systems, reporting & analytics, and special projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships across the organization and provide timely support.
