Human Resources Business Partner

About the role

NBM Railways is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to join its team in Saint John, NB. Reporting to the Director of HR, you will work closely with business leaders and employees, helping them navigate change and improve people processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support recruitment and onboarding to ensure a positive candidate and new‑hire experience.
• Partner with managers and staff on day‑to‑day HR matters and people‑related initiatives.
• Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employee queries within the scope of the role.
• Drive employee engagement and experience through relationship building, planning, and problem resolution.
• Assist in the rollout of HR programs and initiatives across the division.
• Analyze HR data and trends to identify improvement opportunities and inform decision‑making.
• Contribute ideas that foster continuous improvement, innovation, and positive change in HR processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field.
• Relevant experience delivering HR services or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Customer‑focused, results‑driven team player who thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
• Curious, creative problem‑solver willing to challenge the status quo.
• CPHR designation (completed or in progress) is an asset.
