General Labourer – Maintenance & Repairs

About the role

The General Labourer will support The Pera Group’s facilities by performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and improvement tasks across multiple properties. Reporting to the Facilities Manager and working under the Projects Lead, you will ensure high‑quality workmanship and a safe, organized work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general repairs, maintenance, and installations such as drywall, painting, carpentry, minor plumbing, and minor electrical work.
• Diagnose issues, recommend solutions, and execute tasks like appliance installation, fixture replacement, and furniture assembly.
• Conduct routine inspections, identify potential problems, and maintain equipment by inspecting, repairing, and ordering parts.
• Travel to various job sites using company vehicles and keep work areas clean and safe.
• Collaborate with the Projects Lead to report repair needs and prioritize work.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of general repair techniques and tools.
• Physical stamina to stand, bend, squat and lift up to 165 lb.
• Valid B.C. driver’s licence, reliable transportation and a clean driver’s abstract.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and customer‑focused attitude.
