Front End Department Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Front End Department Manager to lead one of our store’s key areas in Edmonton. You will be responsible for driving sales, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a safe, well‑stocked environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the front‑end department, meeting or exceeding sales and profit targets.
• Train, coach and develop associates in customer service, product knowledge and merchandising standards.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels, accurate pricing and attractive displays.
• Monitor inventory, coordinate replenishment with other departments and manage departmental expenses.
• Ensure a clean, safe shopping environment for customers and staff.
• Collaborate with store management and other department leaders to achieve overall store goals.
• Identify and recruit talent to strengthen the team.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary coursework preferred.
• Previous retail management experience, preferably in a department or specialty store.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational abilities.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and varied shifts.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand for long periods.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
