Area Leader Trainee – Retail Operations

About the role

Join 7‑Eleven as an Area Leader Trainee and oversee a portfolio of 12‑14 convenience‑store locations in Edmonton. You will receive a 12‑month intensive training program that prepares you to lead multi‑unit operations, drive sales, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Staff, train, and supervise Store Leaders across multiple locations.
• Implement merchandising programs, manage cash and inventory, and motivate teams.
• Oversee profit‑and‑loss performance, including budget planning, sales maximisation, and expense control.
• Set performance goals, monitor results, and collaborate with upper management.

Required profile

• A 4‑year degree in a related field **or** 5+ years managing district or regional retail operations, or a large single store with 100+ employees.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to maintain automotive liability insurance.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, reach repeatedly and lift up to 50 lb.
• Strong multi‑tasking, self‑motivation, and leadership capabilities.
