Founding Scientist & Technical Co-Founder

About the role

Auvrix Energy is an early‑stage Canadian deep‑tech venture seeking a senior scientific leader to join as a Founding Scientist & Technical Co‑Founder. Working directly with the Founder & CEO, you will shape the company’s technical vision, research agenda, and commercialization pathway.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the CEO to define technical strategy, research priorities, and long‑term commercialization plans.
• Evaluate scientific and engineering opportunities in advanced materials, reliability, and extreme‑environment technologies.
• Identify high‑value technical challenges with commercial potential and build research frameworks.
• Establish the company’s technical foundation, including technology roadmaps and IP development.
• Forge partnerships with universities, research institutes, laboratories, industry partners, and technical advisors.
• Represent Auvrix in technical discussions with researchers, investors, and strategic partners.
• Provide technical leadership, recruit scientific and engineering talent, and guide product development.

Required profile

• 7–15 years of experience in industry, research, product development, or technology commercialization.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD preferred) in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven ability to translate technical opportunities into commercially viable solutions.
