First-Year Apprentice Plumber – Mechanical Team

About the role

Wildstone Construction is seeking a First‑Year Apprentice Plumber to join its Mechanical team in Whitehorse, Yukon. You will work alongside Journeyperson Plumbers, gaining hands‑on experience on wastewater, water‑treatment, energy, institutional, multi‑family, and commercial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Build, assemble, install, repair, and maintain mechanical and piping systems.
• Layout equipment and pipe routes according to directions.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, solder, groove, crimp, and glue piping.
• Ensure required tools are available on‑site.
• Follow proper installation methods taught by Journeypersons.
• Handle equipment safely and comply with all safety policies.
• Take direction from Journeyperson Plumber and assist with additional tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Registered as a 1st‑Year Apprentice with the territorial regulatory body.
• Commercial and industrial construction experience, including renovations and modifications on commercial projects.
• Strong safety record and ability to work well in a team.
• Willingness to obtain or hold tickets for Fall Protection, WHMIS 2015, Elevated Work Platform, and Level 1 First Aid.
