Executive Director – Community Services

About the role

Connexus Community Resources is seeking a visionary Executive Director to guide the organization through its next phase of growth. Reporting to the Board, you will provide strategic leadership, strengthen partnerships, and ensure long‑term sustainability for the communities of Vanderhoof, Fraser Lake and Fort St James.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Board to develop and refine the organization’s vision and strategic plan.
• Advise the Board on all operational, programmatic and governance matters.
• Promote diversity, inclusion and Truth and Reconciliation initiatives.
• Design and implement an operational plan aligned with strategic goals.
• Oversee program delivery, evaluation and client outcomes.
• Foster a collaborative, safe and healthy workplace culture.
• Lead performance‑management processes and succession planning.
• Work with the Finance Manager to prepare annual budgets and secure funding.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in nonprofit or community‑service leadership.
• Proven ability to build relationships with staff, funders, Indigenous communities and external partners.
• Strong commitment to accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated knowledge of governance, financial stewardship and human‑resource best practices.

Required skills

What we offer

• Annual salary between $106,964 and $124,046 (CAD).
