Executive Operations & Board Lead

About the role

Cybera is seeking a proactive Executive Operations & Board Lead to partner with senior leadership. The role blends board governance, executive support, and office management to advance the organization’s strategic priorities across government, education, and member networks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead board governance workflows, coordinate meeting packages, record minutes, and manage AGM logistics.
• Provide strategic executive support, including meeting design, OKR/KPI tracking, and high‑profile stakeholder communications.
• Organize internal staff events, oversee office operations in Calgary (and occasional Edmonton duties), and manage vendor relationships.
• Draft executive communications, thought‑leadership talking points, and standardized reporting templates.
• Anticipate CEO and team needs, driving alignment between daily operations and organizational goals.

Required profile

• 8+ years of progressive experience supporting executive teams or board governance, preferably in a non‑profit or tech environment.
• Proven ability to translate high‑level goals into actionable daily operations and stakeholder messaging.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with confidence interacting with senior external stakeholders.
• Self‑starter who thrives in ambiguity, anticipates needs, and works independently.

Required skills

• Google Workspace (Slides, Sheets, Drive, Calendar) in a Mac‑based environment.
• Microsoft Excel and Word (infrequent use).
• Video‑conferencing tools: Zoom and Google Meet.
• Microsoft Teams (asset).
• Adobe Acrobat for compiling meeting packages.
