Elementary PHE Teacher & Athletic Director (Part‑time)

About the role

Vancouver Christian School is seeking a part‑time Elementary Physical‑Health‑Education (PHE) Teacher who will also serve as the Athletic Director. This role supports the school’s Christ‑centered mission by delivering high‑quality physical education and overseeing the elementary athletics program.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess PHE curriculum for elementary grades, integrating faith and universal design for learning.
• Develop, coordinate and supervise the elementary sports program, including practices, events and facilities.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators and families to promote student wellness and spiritual growth.
• Maintain records, reports and evaluations related to student participation and program outcomes.

Required profile

• Certified teacher in British Columbia.
• Bachelor of Education (or equivalent).
• Background or training in coaching and physical education preferred.
• Understanding of faith integration across the curriculum.
• Knowledge of universal design for learning, differentiated instruction and elementary developmental needs.
• Strong communication, collaboration and organizational abilities.
