Data Scientist – Build Data Lakehouse & AI/ML

About the role

Remarcable is a cloud‑based platform for trade contractors, and data is central to its growth across North America. As a Data Scientist you will partner closely with Data Engineering to design and build a unified data lakehouse that powers internal reporting, product intelligence and actionable recommendations for contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Data Engineering to design the lakehouse's semantic and analytical layers on AWS (S3, Redshift, Athena, Glue).
• Translate ambiguous business questions into clear analyses and communicate findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Analyze product, operations and customer usage data to identify trends, anomalies and opportunities.
• Build models and heuristics that power smart search, recommendation engine and forecasting.
• Develop AI/ML infrastructure – feature engineering, training datasets, model evaluation – supporting SageMaker and Bedrock workflows.
• Create and maintain core analytics for company metrics such as ARR, churn, NRR and ROI.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, Analyst or similar role.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving startup environment.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, window functions and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in Python with pandas and NumPy.
• Experience building dashboards or reporting tools (QuickSight, Looker, Tableau, Power BI or custom solutions).
• Experience with modern data transformation tools such as dbt.
