About the role
The Customer Service Agent provides information and assistance for Driver Examination services at a DriveTest Centre in Barrie. This part‑time, fixed‑term position involves direct interaction with licence applicants, ensuring a smooth and safe examination process.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service throughout all Driver Examination services.
- Provide information and assistance to applicants for all licence classes.
- Assess identity documents for validity and manage sensitive personal information.
- Set up headsets, replace ear plugs, test radio volumes, and secure radios for class M road tests.
- Perform vehicle maintenance and safely drive the observation car during road tests.
- Prepare examination rooms, arrange materials, and guide test‑takers to their seats.
- Comply with all Ministry regulations, occupational health and safety policies, and confidentiality requirements.
- Support invigilation of SGT operations and respond to administrative requests.
Required profile
- GED or high school diploma (minimum).
- Valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence.
- At least two years of demonstrated customer‑service experience.
- Ability to handle complex and difficult situations.
- Knowledge of the Highway Traffic Act, related regulations, and relevant company policies.
Required skills
- Operation of headsets and radio equipment for road‑test administration.
- Vehicle inspection and observation‑car driving.
- Processing and safeguarding sensitive personal data.
