Crew Lead – Remote Northern Construction

About the role

ATCO Frontec is looking for up to four Crew Leads to join a defence‑technology installation project in Inuvik, Northwest Territories. This hands‑on field leadership position runs from May to October and offers the chance to gain practical supervisory experience in a remote northern construction environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the daily activities of a small field crew.
• Perform hands‑on installation work, including antennas, cabling, and related tasks.
• Ensure all work complies with site safety requirements and company standards.
• Provide clear direction, guidance, and support to general labourers.
• Monitor work quality, progress, and productivity.
• Communicate daily progress, issues, and safety concerns to site supervisors.
• Promote a strong safety culture and professional work environment.

Required profile

• Construction or related field experience.
• Willingness and ability to lead a crew in a remote environment.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and accountability.
• Physically capable of performing manual labour for extended shifts.
• Valid driver’s licence.

• Hourly wage of $40 CAD.
