Construction Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead on‑site execution of a major electrical infrastructure expansion in New Brunswick. The multi‑year project involves expanding a high‑voltage transmission terminal and installing new grid assets, including a STATCOM system.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all on‑site construction activities across civil, electrical and mechanical scopes.
• Coordinate field execution among project stakeholders, contractors and engineering teams.
• Manage day‑to‑day construction work to ensure safety, efficiency and schedule compliance.
• Chair weekly on‑site construction coordination meetings.
• Prepare weekly progress reports highlighting milestones, risks, issues and field activities.
• Facilitate effective communication between contractors, project teams and client stakeholders.
• Identify and escalate project risks, safety concerns and construction issues.
• Support construction through commissioning and project close‑out.
• Promote a strong safety culture and collaborative work environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager on large‑scale utility, transmission, substation, power generation or industrial infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil, electrical and mechanical construction disciplines.
• Experience coordinating multiple contractors and managing field execution.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality.
• Experience supporting commissioning activities is a strong asset.

What we offer

• Multi‑year contract through 2028, starting October 2026.
• On‑site position in Salisbury, New Brunswick.
• Full‑time schedule: 5 days per week, 8‑hour days (occasional 10‑hour days and weekend work during commissioning).
