Construction Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Construction Manager to lead medium‑sized, medium‑to‑high complexity projects for one of Canada’s largest electrical energy suppliers. The role is based in Burnaby or Prince George, BC, and focuses on delivering safe, high‑quality construction on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end project and resource management for multidisciplinary teams of employees, consultants and contractors.
• Oversee program execution by consultants and contractors, ensuring coordination with internal clients and stakeholders.
• Prioritize safe work execution, lead capital construction safety programs and monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify system gaps, implement process improvements and drive adoption of new technologies.
• Act as trusted advisor to senior management, field personnel and contractors, fostering positive stakeholder relationships.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of construction management experience.
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams in complex, multi‑employer environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and provide technical direction to construction professionals.
• Experience improving operational processes and implementing new technologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
