Civil Engineering Assistant Co‑op (Infrastructure)

About the role

You will join Binnie’s Infrastructure Burnaby Division as a civil engineering co‑op student, working on real road, utility and storm‑water projects. The role offers hands‑on drafting, design and field assignments while you learn the full design process and teamwork dynamics.

Key responsibilities

• Modify basic design drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Plot, assemble and deliver drawing submission packages.
• Prepare project documentation and manage electronic file transfers.
• Maintain file naming and layer‑management conventions.
• Complete field assignments and quality‑control procedures as directed.
• Update as‑constructed field record drawings.

Required profile

• Current civil engineering degree student.
• Previous work experience in a civil engineering environment.
• Valid driver’s licence and personal vehicle for site visits.
• Willingness to work outdoors on‑site as required.
• Ability to consistently produce accurate, high‑quality work.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation.
