Project Manager – Transportation Major Projects

About the role

Binnie is seeking a Project Manager to lead transportation major projects within its Transportation Major Projects Division. The role involves overseeing owner’s engineer services for planning, design, procurement, and delivery of large infrastructure projects across British Columbia, working closely with senior managers and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact on projects, coordinating with clients, stakeholders, consultants, contractors and support staff.
• Manage major transportation engineering projects on behalf of the Owner’s Engineer or Design Team.
• Provide direction to staff and sub‑consultants.
• Engage in active business development and lead proposals in coordination with the Proposal Team.
• Develop project schedules and coordinate resources.
• Monitor budgets and project progress.
• Proactively support clients and anticipate project needs.
• Oversee implementation of quantity management system and application of design standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 4+ years of technical experience in transportation engineering or project management within a civil engineering environment.
• Registration as a P.Eng. preferred.
• Experience delivering presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and personal vehicle.
• Exceptional project, design and time‑management abilities.
• Positive attitude, dependable and able to work cooperatively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated team management, delegation and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to handle several projects concurrently.
• Excellent attention to detail to produce accurate, high‑quality work.
