Construction Foreman

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time, on‑site Construction Foreman to lead field crews on commercial interior projects across Western Canada. The role involves overseeing daily site operations, ensuring safety and quality standards, and coordinating with project managers and stakeholders to keep projects on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret construction drawings, specifications and shop drawings to direct field activities.
• Lead, mentor and supervise site crews, maintaining productivity and quality expectations.
• Perform and oversee steel stud framing, drywall installation and suspended ceiling systems.
• Coordinate labour requirements and daily site operations with the Project Manager.
• Facilitate safety meetings, conduct site inspections and promote a strong safety culture.
• Maintain accurate daily documentation, including labour tracking, progress updates and field reports.
• Monitor workmanship, support quality control and address deficiencies.
• Manage material requests, deliveries and site logistics to sustain project schedules.
• Complete routine administrative tasks using the company’s field management system.
• Document site issues, changes and trade‑related impacts and communicate effectively with the project team.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial drywall, framing and interior systems construction.
• Proven track record of leading and supervising field crews on commercial projects.
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints and construction documentation.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and ability to enforce site safety standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with a hands‑on management approach.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
