Communications Officer – French Services (Hybrid)

About the role

Join CBC/Radio-Canada’s Community Experiences and Partnerships team in Sherbrooke as a Communications Officer focused on French services. In this hybrid position you will design and execute brand activations and events that strengthen the public broadcaster’s presence across the Estrie region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, plan and deliver original brand activations and experiential events throughout Estrie.
• Negotiate, draft, monitor and implement partnership agreements.
• Coordinate internal and external communication strategies to maximise visibility of initiatives.
• Prepare strategic marketing briefs and collaborate with integrated‑strategy and creative teams.
• Manage event calendars, production schedules, location scouting and budgets.
• Oversee contests linked to partnerships, including copywriting, legal approvals, prize negotiation and winner follow‑up.
• Assist media relations with news releases and support remote broadcasts tied to community activities.
• Train and support brand ambassadors during partnership events.
• Conduct post‑event evaluations, analyse performance data and recommend improvements.
• Handle partnership‑related inquiries and provide operational support as needed.

Required profile

• Advanced proficiency in French (reading, speaking, writing).
• Strong written communication skills in English and French.
• Experience planning and executing events or brand activations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, budgets and stakeholder relationships.
