Communications Assistant C – Part‑time

About the role

The School of Continuing Studies at McGill University is seeking a Communications Assistant C to provide administrative and communication support to students and staff. This part‑time, fixed‑term role involves handling documentation, responding to inquiries, and acting as a liaison between the unit and internal or external parties.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor shared resource accounts and respond to inquiries or redirect requests to the appropriate person.
• Follow up with students regarding missing or incomplete documentation.
• Receive, review, scan and upload official documents received electronically or by mail.
• Act as liaison between the unit and internal or external parties to provide assistance or information.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• At least two years of related administrative or communications experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work both autonomously and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in English (written and verbal).

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $21 CAD.
• Part‑time schedule (approximately 27.5 hours per week).
• Fixed‑term contract from August 5 2026 to December 18 2026.
