General Manager - Marketing and Ecommerce Growth

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on General Manager whose strongest skills are marketing, ecommerce and profitable growth. The role splits time between running HoopStars, a youth basketball business, and building the parent company’s multi‑brand marketing team.

Key responsibilities

• Run HoopStars: own business plan, budget, revenue, profitability and cash forecasts; lead sales and operations to match demand.
• Drive digital growth: improve paid search, social, creative assets, landing pages, enrollment funnels, pricing, offers, referrals and retention.
• Build the parent marketing team: define structure, recruit specialists, engage contractors or agencies, and manage priorities across brands.
• Establish commercial discipline: link campaign performance to paying customers, repeat enrollment and contribution profit; allocate marketing spend using reliable reporting and testing.
• Stay close to execution: inspect advertising accounts, diagnose funnel issues and launch improvements while developing a self‑sufficient team.

Required profile

• Proven track record building ecommerce businesses or leading growth for consumer brands, with measurable results in paid acquisition, conversion and retention.
• Commercial responsibility beyond a marketing budget, including pricing, margins, staffing, forecasts and overall profitability.
• Experience hiring and managing marketers, creatives, agencies or other specialists.
• Ability to translate ecommerce methods into a service‑oriented business with real delivery capacity.
• Strong professional English and effective remote leadership skills.
