Civil Superintendent – Construction Projects

About the role

The Civil Superintendent will oversee day‑to‑day execution of civil construction projects across the Lower Mainland, reporting to the Director of Operations. Based at the Maple Ridge head office, the role moves between active sites, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in production planning, review upcoming work and identify constraints.
• Deliver assigned scope in line with project timelines, managing productivity and results.
• Coordinate crews, equipment and subcontractors to meet safety and project requirements.
• Maintain accurate site records and provide regular updates for project visibility.
• Develop daily and weekly work plans and look‑ahead schedules to ensure readiness.
• Track progress against baseline plans, explain variances and support corrective actions.
• Supervise foremen and field crews, assign work and reinforce sequencing priorities.
• Enforce site safety plans, conduct toolbox talks and report incidents promptly.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and coordinate corrective actions as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing civil construction sites, preferably in residential, townhouse or municipal projects.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems in real time and deliver financial results.
• Strong leadership skills to direct foremen and field crews.
• Commitment to safety, quality and compliance on a daily basis.
