Bilingual HR Coordinator – Ottawa (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a bilingual Human Resources Coordinator to provide day‑to‑day HR administrative support for a non‑profit organization in Ottawa. The role is a long‑term contract and involves handling recruitment, onboarding, employee documentation and issue resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, preparing documentation and tracking progress.
• Conduct reference checks and record hiring‑related information accurately.
• Arrange interviews, liaise with candidates and internal stakeholders, and maintain recruitment calendars.
• Respond to employee and candidate inquiries, investigate routine concerns and resolve HR issues promptly.
• Maintain HR records and generate reports using Excel and Dayforce.
• Provide administrative support for payroll, benefits and general HR processes, ensuring compliance.
• Assist with training coordination and other employee support activities.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in an HR coordinator, administrator or similar role.
• Bilingual communication skills in English and French.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Dayforce HR system.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting.
